ALZFC - A PLACE FOR EVERY FOOTBALL LOVER.

Pathways

At Al Zanbaq FC, we offer tailored development pathways to meet the needs of players at every level – from beginners to aspiring professionals. Our approach is designed to ensure that all players, regardless of age, gender, or skill level, have the opportunity to grow and thrive in the sport.

Al Zanbaq FC kicks off in January 2025 with four initial grassroots teams, open to all football enthusiasts regardless of skill level.

These teams provide an ideal foundation for young players to enjoy football in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Our long-term vision is to implement the full development pathways as soon as possible, offering opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. Step by step, we will introduce the Elite Academy, Girls Academy, and both performance-based and recreational teams, ensuring Al Zanbaq FC becomes a home for everyone passionate about football.

Our pathways are divided into three key divisions: Grassroots, Elite, and Women/Girls, each starting with the Pre-Academy for our youngest participants.

1. Pre-Academy (Ages 3-4):

All children aged 3 to 4 start their football journey in our mixed Pre-Academy, where the focus is on playful ball-handling and developing a love for the game.

2. Grassroots Academy (Ages 5-18):

From ages 5 to 8, both boys and girls participate in the Grassroots Academy, where the emphasis is on fun, teamwork, and foundational skills. At age 9, players are divided based on skill level and gender:

  • Boys (Ages 9-18):
Boys continue in the Grassroots Academy until the age of 18, focusing on development through competition and team spirit. Afterward, they can join Al Zanbaq FC III, our adult recreational team, or the Over 35 Team for those seeking football at a recreational level.

  • Girls (Ages 9-18):
Girls transition into the Girls Academy, where they receive dedicated training and development until the age of 18, without performance-based divisions. At the adult level, they will be divided to the Women’s Pro Team for top talents or Al Zanbaq FC III for recreational football.

3. Elite Academy (Ages 9-18):

Boys identified as top talents from age 9 will join the Elite Academy, which offers advanced training and higher competition levels. Upon reaching adulthood, players in the Elite pathway will progress to the U21 Team or the First Team, where they compete at the highest level within Al Zanbaq FC.

4. Women/Girls Pathway (Ages 18+):

For female players, there are two options upon reaching adulthood:

  • Women’s Pro Team:
For the most talented players aiming for a professional football career.

  • Al Zanbaq FC III:
For those looking to continue playing at a recreational level.

Private Training & Special Programs:

In addition to our standard pathways, we offer Private Training from age 5 for players seeking individual coaching. For top talents over the age of 16, we also provide opportunities for Bundesliga Trials and US Scholarships, offering a path to international football and academic opportunities.

With pathways for all ages and skill levels, Al Zanbaq FC provides a clear and structured roadmap for every football enthusiast to grow and succeed – from their very first steps in the sport to reaching their full potential.
